  • by 36 photographers
  • from 12 countries
  • on 5 continents.
It is truly an international effort. 100% of proceeds will go to the Marine Tots for Tots Foundation.

Photomedia Center "Small Works" reception at the Glass Growers Gallery Oct. 21, 2011

Jen and I had a great evening in Erie, PA last Friday night.  It was cool to see the photos from the "Small Works" show displayed in such a intimate setting. We met a lot of great people that evening.  It was a eal pleasure to meet Eric Grignol, of Photomedia Center, Deborah Vahanian, of Glass Growers Gallery, and Vanessa Vahanian, GlassGrowers Gallery.  There was an excellent turnout for the reception.  Everyone seemed to have a most enjoyable evening.

Visual Experiences:“Small Works: a Juried Exhibition” from the eriereader.com

Randy Jennings has stayed with a more traditional approach to photographic theme. There is just something about black and white photography in the hands of an expert who is able to take the fall of sunlight on a wall, an aging building, or the softness of nude flesh on a bed and imply a story beyond just the formal composition itself. - Luke Gehring, October 19, 2011

Holga WPC

I finally got out and gave the panoramic Holga a test drive.  While traveling around the mountains in Eastern TN, I ventured off to one of my favorite spots.  In the cold, drizzling rain, I managed to climb down the rocks to catch the cascades and wooden foot bridge crossing the rocky stream.

I plan to flock the inside of the camera and use without the mask on my next effort.  Additionally, I plan to try some infrared as well as some long 35mm pano shots.

New film (expired)

I have recently been acquiring outdated Kodak Verichrome film.  There is an assortment of cameras in my collection that are getting the dust blown off and loaded with new (outdated) film.  Hopefully, this will breathe new life into these classics and give me fresh approach to “toy camera” photography.  One camera in particular, a Kodak Duaflex II has been in my family for around fifty years.  The last time I loaded film in it was ’72.  I just finished loading some Sept. ’69 in the old box.  Let’s see what I get.

HolgART- Taking Off available at Blurb

Taking Off is a collection of random images. These are photos I have created over the past six years, while getting acquainted with the Holga toy camera. Among these are urban, scenic, and whimsical images I have captured on an array of films, processed with a variety of development formulas, and laughed at during the titling phase.

Opening Night

The exhibit opened last night without any major issues.  Despite the heavy rains and NCAA Championship game the turnout was excellent.  Former co-workers, childhood friends, and a host of others were in attendance.  It was great to see you!  As usual my biggest supporter, my wife artist J Austin Jennings made the event memorable with pigeon shaped cookies to commemorate the theme Taking Off.  Thanks Jenni!

Thanks to all who attended.  The show runs through April 28th.  Hour 8-5 M-F.
